Call for Applications: Master of Arts Environment & Society

We are pleased to invite applications for the master’s program Environment and Society for an October 2026 start. The program is designed to equip students concerned about human impact on the planet with the interdisciplinary knowledge and humanistic understanding that practitioners and scholars need to tackle key social and environmental challenges and ensure sustainable and just futures for all.

The application deadline for the 2026/27 academic year is 10 March 2026. The application portal will be opened on December 10, 2025.

Prospective students interested in learning more about the MA Environment and Society and the application process are invited to participate in information sessions providing more details about the program, its teaching staff, and the application process. These Zoom events will also offer an opportunity for prospective students to ask questions.

Registration for the info sessions is free but required. The dates and links to register for attendance are listed below:

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

In addition, we will have an in-person table at LMU's Campustag on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10 am to 3 pm in the main LMU building at Geschwister-Scholl-Platz 1, 80539 München.
